Who Is Keyyaun?
There was a time when Keyyaun didn’t think he deserved to be here. Four times, he came face-to-face with the decision to end his life, each time sinking deeper into the belief that his existence didn’t matter. But something shifted. In the quiet aftermath of his darkest night, Keyyaun began to see himself differently—not as broken, but as chosen. Choosing to shift his perspective—seeing himself not through the lens of pain, but through the truth of God’s purpose for his life. That awakening ignited a deep passion for mental health and a mission to help others become the best versions of themselves.
Keyyaun isn’t just committed to helping people see their potential—he wants them to believe it, embrace it, and walk boldly in it. Standing as a living testament, through his work he inspires individuals to break free from the chains of self-doubt and step fully into the life they were created for. Through raw honesty and unshakable faith, he shares his journey to help others find their worth, rewrite their story, and discover that no night is too dark for God’s light to break through.

Keyyaun's journey in sports is a story of resilience and adaptability.
He began his college basketball career at Mineral Area College, where he played one season before a sophomore-year injury sidelined him. Determined to keep going, Keyyaun transferred to Lindenwood University, then later took time away from the game to refocus. His love for basketball brought him back to the court at Missouri Baptist University, and eventually to Maryville University, where he played for half a semester. Each step—and every setback—helped shape his mindset, discipline, and drive, fueling the passion he now brings to his public speaking, coaching, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Funk Apparel was born out of Keyyaun's personal journey through depression, anxiety, and trauma—a period where he nearly lost his life. The brand stands as a symbol of resilience, self-expression, and the courage to keep going when life feels heavy. Through bold, stylish eyewear, Funk Apparel aims to inspire individuals—especially those battling mental health challenges—to embrace their uniqueness and walk confidently in their truth. Every pair of glasses represents a reminder: you can rise from darkness and create your own vision for life.
